    • Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of skills required in the focus area to provide analytical or technical support for assigned projects, or portions of projects, with minimal supervision
    • Execute assignments according to schedule and budget plans as provided by the management team


    • Task Manager for projects that may include some or all of the following:
      • Develop landbase and/or asset mapping of gas systems
      • Convert gas and landbase source documents (construction drawings, landbase plats, etc.) to GIS features and attribution
      • Resolve discrepancies between source documents and GIS
      • Produce maps, reports, and queries using a variety of techniques to satisfy custom requests
      • Provide project specific guidance to GIS Technicians
      • Apply solutions that conform to industry standards and practices for gas operators as defined by PHMSA Title 49 CFR parts 100 – 199 and state and local regulations
    • Propose and design construction projects (renewals, improvements) using GIS and other applications
    • Create and maintain process and procedure documentation
    • Execute GIS functions and mapping processes within scope and budget guidelines
    • Perform quality control procedures on work created by self and by support team members
    • Create written reports and other documents to conform to company and industry standards for form and content
    • Execute occasional travel and off-site assignments as projects and opportunities dictate
    • Participate in industry organizations through conference attendance, continued training, and active involvement
    • Support regional consultants and sales staff in developing project plans and estimates


    • 5 or more years relevant experience in projects using GIS and/or integrated geospatial solutions supporting the operation of natural gas transmission and distribution systems
    • A four year Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Geography, or other relevant technical degree
    • In lieu of degree, 4 or more years relevant experience in projects using geospatial solutions for natural gas distribution systems
    • Knowledge and experience in applying geospatial solutions in compliance with Title 49 CFR parts 100 – 199
    • Demonstrable experience with ArcGIS Enterprise applications and extensions
    • Experience with ArcFM or other integrated asset management applications is a plus


    • Demonstrable proficiency with Esri GIS applications
    • Desktop office software skills
    • Experience using ODBC or other relational database systems
    • Basic proficiency with SQL
    • Ability to interact with clients for project specific activities


    • Is self-motivated and able to assist in actively managing the demands of multiple project timelines
    • Develops a familiarity with most company resources and client services
    • Is honest, trustworthy, dependable, and respectful
    • Effectively communicates, both verbally and written
    • Takes ownership of continued career and skill development


    • Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time on a daily basis use a keyboard and mouse 
    • Must have vision ability to work with various formats of data, differentiating colorinimagery,andinterpretinghistogramsandhardcopysourcedocumentswithfineprint(handwritten and digital)
    • Must be able to work in an open office environment
    • Must be able to conduct business by telephone and webinterfaces
    • Must be willing and able to perform limited field  inspections
    • Must be willing to travelovernight
